The McCarthy Group has now assisted me with two major real estate purchases, my home in Old Metairie 5 years ago and just recently, a 3-story office building in Old Metairie. As I told Shaun, I’ve had more trouble buying plumbing parts at HomeDepot than these two transactions. He and his team were there every step of the way and were always engaged. The McCarthy Group did an outstanding job selling my home in Terrytown, LA. From getting the clients to the property to their electronic signing, my experience was off the charts. I left for a Seattle vacation on a Tuesday and the house was open for viewing Friday of that week which drew 4 buyers in 2 days. By Monday a bidding war was on and by the time I was on my flight back to New Orleans from Seattle, an agreement was signed getting me $9,000 more than I expected. It closed 3 weeks later. The emails I received while on vacation were something you can only imagine in a dream. These people SELL HOMES. My stepson, who recommended the McCarthy Group to me had a property in Harahan for sale for over 2 years with another agent. After contacting the McCarthy Group his property closed within 2 months. I am a "hard to get a compliment from" person but when I get EXCELLENT and PERSONAL service from a company or individual I let people know. They did extras such as give me approximate values of other properties I am involved with and work very quickly on GETTING THINGS DONE. They are also very courteous and patient to make sure you, the client, understand what is going on. My husband and I had our home listed for sale by owner. When we were first contacted by Peggy Bruce asking us to consider hiring the McCarthy Group we were very reluctant and didn't think we would benefit from having an agent. We were so wrong! Wow. Let me guarantee you, McCarthy Group Realtors will get my business the next time I buy or sell! What a costly mistake I made when I didn’t go with the McCarthy Group. Not having the right Realtor cost me – emotionally and financially. I lost over $25,000 on my sale, finding out after the closing that the buyer was ready to pay full asking price! I had a good deal of contact with the McCarthy Group before I listed my property and failed to realize, before it was too late, what a mistake it was not hire them. Learn from my mistakes.
